2025年4月14日付けで、図書館員の実践等に焦点を当てるオープンアクセス誌“The Journal of Creative Library Practice”に、公共図書館員によるコミュニティにおける「食の正義」（Food Justice）への意識や取組等に関する論文“Public Librarianship and Food Justice: Working With and Alongside Communities”が掲載されました。著者は、米・ノースカロライナ大学グリーンズボロ校図書館のNoah Lenstra氏等です。
「食の正義」とは、文化的に適切で健康に良い食料を、誰もが手頃な価格で手に入れられるようになることを目指す取組とされています。論文では、公共図書館職員が食と正義の問題に、なぜ、どのように、そして誰と取り組んでいるのかといったことを把握するため、米国20州の図書館員等計49人に対して実施されたフォーカスグループインタビューの結果等がまとめられています。
