2016年5月3日、OCLC Researchは国際標準名称識別子ISNIと組織の識別子に関する課題を示した報告書“Addressing the Challenges with Organizational Identifiers and ISNI”を公開しました。
報告書は特に学術機関について扱われており、ISNIを組織の識別子としてどのように用いることが可能か、名称変更、通称、組織階層、組織構造、合併買収、研究グループ、組織グループなどについて、実例とともに示されており、ISNI及び、ISNIのデータベースにおける提言がまとめられています。
なお、英国Jiscと研究情報の標準化・共有を目指す国際非営利団体CASRAIによる組織識別子に関するプロジェクト“Jisc CASRAI-UK Pilot”によるユースケースが扱われています。
