欧州連合（EU）のデータ保護指令第29条作業部会（Article 29 Working Party）が、欧州司法裁判所による2014年5月13日の裁定の履行に関して、Google、Microsoft、Yahoo!の3社と、2014年7月24日に会合を行ったとのことです。同委員会は、EU加盟国のデータ保護担当部局の代表から構成されるものです。
同委員会では、個々のデータ削除要請について検索エンジン側が拒否し、各国の担当部局に申し立てがあった場合の対応等に関して、ガイドラインの作成を進めるとのことで、今回の会合はそのためのインプットを各社に求めたものでもあるとのことです。ガイドラインは今年秋の策定を目指しているそうです。
プレスリリースでは、会合において3社に回答が求められた26項目の質問が示されています。いくつかの質問については、7月末までに書面での回答が求められているとのことです。
