米・メイン州立図書館及びニュージャージー州立図書館が、2017年7月からの次年度予算不成立に伴う州政府機関の閉鎖により、休館しています。
メイン州立図書館では、州政府機関閉鎖前に借りた本については、再開館後もしくは図書館前の返却ボックスに返却すればペナルティは発生しないと案内しています。
