2014年12月10日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）は、パン・ギムン国際連合事務総長が発表した統合報告書（synthesis report）“The Road to Dignity by 2030: Ending Poverty, Transforming All Lives and Protecting the Planet”の先行版に対し、情報へのアクセスが報告書に盛り込まれたことを歓迎し、持続可能な開発において、情報へのアクセスやスキルの役割が不可欠な要素であることが認識されるよう、国際連合に働きかけていくとする声明を発表しました。
この統合報告書には、ポスト2015年アジェンダに関する交渉の進捗状況を確認し、ミレニアム開発目標の取り組みから得た教訓を見直すことで、今後の各国による議論を支援するねらいがあるとのことです。
IFLAは、国際連合やその加盟国に対して、ポスト2015年アジェンダについての政府間の交渉の段階で、リヨン宣言を活用するよう呼びかけていくとのことです。
