2023年12月13日、国際公文書館会議（ICA）が、ガザ地区（パレスチナ）の公文書館・図書館における文書等の破壊に関して声明を発表しました。
声明では、ガザ地区の中央公文書館や主要な公共図書館が爆撃され、百年前の歴史的文書が破壊されたとする報を受けて、同地区の文書遺産の将来に対する深い懸念が表明されています。また、同地区の全ての当事者に対して、記録遺産や文化遺産を管理する専門家に危害を加えないことや、1954年の「武力紛争の際の文化財の保護に関する条約」を遵守し、これらの遺産を破壊しないことを強く求めるとしています。
