2023年12月5日、OpenAIRE、欧州研究図書館協会（LIBER）、SPARC Europe及びオープンアクセスリポジトリ連合（COAR）の共同で、欧州のリポジトリの現状に関する調査報告書“Current State and Future Directions for Open Repositories in Europe”が公表されました。
2023年1月、OpenAIREらは欧州のリポジトリネットワーク強化を目的として共同戦略を立ち上げ、その最初のステップとして、欧州のリポジトリの現状に関する調査を実施しました。今回公開されたのはその結果をまとめたものです。
発表によると、調査の結果、欧州のリポジトリが数多くの価値ある研究成果へのアクセスを提供する重要なインフラとして機能していることが確認された一方で、研究者コミュニティの需要を満たすために強化すべき分野も明らかになったと述べられています。
