2022年1月5日、図書館のための政治活動委員会EveryLibraryの関連組織であるEveryLibrary Instituteが、教育における学校図書館員の重要性と影響に関する以下の報告書2件の公開を発表しました。
・Anticipating the Post-COVID Pivot for School Librarians（著者Beth Thomas氏）
学校図書館員および学校図書館プログラムの役割、影響や重要性に関する最近の研究やデータを検証し、教育関係の政策立案者向けの詳細で実行可能な推奨事項等をまとめた報告書です。
・Could School Librarians be the Secret to Increasing Literacy Scores?（著者Nijma Esad氏）
米・ワシントンDCの公立学校での調査結果を紹介すると共に、標準化テストのリテラシーに関する項目の成績と生徒の学校図書館へのアクセスとの間の関係について分析した報告書です。
上記報告書は、EveryLibrary Instituteのウェブサイト上で無料公開されていますが、閲覧には氏名・メールアドレス等の登録が必要です。
