2024年1月18日、米国における図書館のための政治活動団体EveryLibraryの関連組織であるEveryLibrary Instituteが、図書館等に関する保護者の認識調査シリーズの最終報告書を公開したと発表しました。
2023年9月から11月にかけて、EveryLibrary Instituteと独立系文芸サイトBook Riotは、「保護者の認識調査シリーズ」（Parent Perceptions Survey Series）として、図書館員に対する信頼感や禁書に対する考え方等に関して、18歳未満の子どもを持つ保護者を対象に3件の調査を実施しました。今回公開されたのは同シリーズの最終報告書であり、これまでの三つの調査結果が総括されています。
