カナダの公立大学であるマウント・ロイヤル大学（アルバータ州）において、1972年に建てられた現在の図書館の4倍の規模となる、新図書館“ Riddell Library and Learning Centre”が建築されるとのことです。広さは16,000平方メートルで、LEEDのゴールド認証の建物です。報道によると建築費はおよそ1億ドルのようですが、8,580万ドルはアルバータ州政府からの資金によるようです。なお開館は2017年を予定しているそうです。
