2014年6月12日、英国の略奪品諮問委員会（Spoliation Advisory Panel）が、英国図書館（BL）が所蔵する“Biccherna Panel”について、ホロコースト時代の文化財の返還に関する特別法（Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act 2009）に基づき、訴えを起こした、元の所有者の相続人に返還するよう裁定しました。
“Biccherna Panel”は、1488年にイタリアのシエーナで製作された絵画とのことです。ルネサンス期の画家Guidoccio Cozzarelliの作とされているようです。ミュンヘンの美術ギャラリーのコレクションでしたが、1936年に法外な税金の支払い要求のため、売却を強いられたとのことです。訴えを起こしたのは、このギャラリーのユダヤ系オーナーの相続人とのことです。
英国図書館は、委員会の裁定に従う意志を表明しています。
