2014年12月18日、英国の文化・メディア・スポーツ省（Department for Culture Media and Sport：DCMS）等による、英国の公共図書館サービスに関する報告書が公開されました。この報告書は、2014年2月に第三者機関に作成を委託されたもので、デジタルライブラリー・ネットワークや図書館のタスクフォース、電子書籍貸出等に関して、英国政府や地方自治体等に対する提言が述べられています。
