ニューヨーク公共図書館（NYPL）入口にある二体のライオン像（PatienceとFortitude）が、2011年5月23日に100歳を迎えるようです。2011年4月21日付けのNew York Timesのブログ記事では、ライオン像の建立の経緯を解説しており、また同記事によると、NYPLはこれにあわせて記念イベントの企画をしているとのことです。
