2019年7月16日、英国物理学会出版局（IOP Publishing）と査読登録サービスPublons・オンライン投稿・査読システムScholarOneを提供するClarivate Analytics社が共同で、査読の透明化導入のためのパートナーシップを締結したことを発表しました。
2019年中に、IOP Publishingが発行する“JPhys Materials”、“Journal of Neural Engineering”、“Environmental Research Letters”で透明化された査読サービスが実施される予定です。
新たに実施予定のワークフローでは、査読者のレポート、エディタの決定、著者の回答など、包括的な査読履歴へのアクセスが保証され、これらの各要素にはDOIが付与されるため参照や引用が容易になることが紹介されています。
PublonsのManaging DirectorであるAndrew Preston氏は、学会系の出版社としては初めてIOP Publishingとパートナーシップ締結できたことをとても喜ばしく思っている、とコメントしています。
