2019年5月31日、OCLCとSpringshare社が、協同型バーチャルレファレンスサービス“QuestionPoint 24/7”の譲渡に関し合意したと発表しています。
Springshare社が、OCLCの“QuestionPoint 24/7”の譲渡を受けるもので、Springshare社は“QuestionPoint 24/7”を同社のバーチャルレファレンスソフト“LibAnswers”に組み込みます。
また、“QuestionPoint 24/7”のレファレンスライブラリアンのチームはSpringshare社に加わって業務を継続するほか、Springshare社でも、参加する図書館員を増員し研修を提供するとともに、知識・情報共有のために効果的なワークフローを考案するとしています。
