2016年5月17日付けの、米・イリノイ州シカゴの地元紙によると、シカゴ公共図書館（CPL）と俳優同盟が、同地の劇場での演劇・ダンスのライブ映像をCPLで所蔵し、利用に供することに合意したと発表しています。
CPLのハロルド・ワシントン図書館内にある、演劇・ダンスなどのライブ映像を記録化し、教育や芸術資料として市民に提供する非営利団体Chicago Film Archive of Performance（C-FAP）が撮影したもので、この合意により、CPLのコレクションとして永久保存されることになるとのことです。
既に21作品が撮影されており、6月末には利用できるように準備中とのことです。
最終的に、年末には40作品の映像化を目指していると報じられています。
