2026年3月9日、英国物理学会出版局（IOP Publishing）が、論文掲載料（APC）の割引・免除を120以上の国・地域に拡大すると発表しました。
同出版局のオープンアクセス（OA）及びハイブリッドジャーナルの全ポートフォリオを対象として、122の国・地域の著者に対して新たな3段階のAPC割引が適用されるとあります。具体的には、低所得（low-income）経済圏の著者には100％、低中所得（lower‑middle‑income）経済圏の著者には70％の割引が適用されるほか、今回初めて、高中所得（upper-middle-income）経済圏の著者に対する30％の割引が導入されます。
