2014年11月24日、米国自然史博物館がケンブリッジ大学図書館等と共同で進める“Darwin Manuscripts Project”のプロジェクトサイトと、ケンブリッジ大学図書館の電子図書館“Cambridge Digital Library”において、12,000以上のチャールズ・ダーウィンの手稿資料等が、高解像度のカラー画像で同時に公開されたことが発表されました。1859年11月24日にダーウィンが『種の起源』を出版してから155年になることを記念して公開したとのことです。
2015年6月までに、ダーウィンが1835年から1882年に書いた資料が更に公開される予定とのことです。
