2026年1月6日、国際的な研究者識別子を付与する非営利組織であるORCIDが、2026年から2029年までの戦略計画“ORCID 2030: Advancing the Future of Research”を公開しました。
計画の中核は、検証可能な研究者識別及び研究成果データのハブとしてのORCIDの価値と範囲を拡大することにより、世界の研究コミュニティを支援し、透明性が高く信頼できる学術研究を推進することとあります。活動の指針として、次のような五つの戦略テーマが設定されています。
・研究者を支援する（Empowering Researchers）
・研究情報を連結させる（Connecting Research Information）
・コミュニティを拡大する（Broadening our Community ）
・信頼性と公正性を推進する（Advancing Trust and Integrity）
・ORCIDのレジリエンスを強化する（Strengthening ORCID’s Resiliency）
