2024年12月16日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）が、避難民を支援する図書館のためのガイドライン“IFLA Guidelines for Libraries Supporting Displaced Persons: Refugees, Migrants, Immigrants, Asylum seekers”を公開しました。
このテーマについてのIFLAのガイドラインとしては初のものです。避難民が受入側のコミュニティに馴染めるように支援すると同時に、避難民と受入側コミュニティが相互に学び、文化的多様性を尊重できるようにするために、図書館にできる具体的な実践例が多数示されています。
