2020年3月16日、OCLCが、報告書“Total Cost of Stewardship: Responsible Collection Building in Archives and Special Collections”を公開しました。
同報告書は、情報に基づいた共有コレクション構築の決定をアーカイブや特殊コレクションが行なうことを支援し、コレクション管理とコレクション開発に関する考察をとりまとめ、キュレーター・管理者・技術者の間の意思疎通を促すことを目的に作成されたリソースをまとめたものです。報告書本文、注釈付き関連文献リスト、コミュニケーションツール・コスト算出ツール・ツールのマニュアルから構成されています。
OCLCのResearch Library Partnershipのコレクション開発・運用への影響に関するワーキンググループ（Collection Building and Operational Impacts Working Group）が作成したもので、責任をもってアーカイブや特殊コレクションを購入し管理するために必要なリソースを理解するための全体的な方法を提案するものとなっています。
