2018年6月28日、欧州研究図書館協会（LIBER）のInnovative Metrics Working Group が、報告書“Scholarly Metrics Recommendations for Research Libraries: Deciphering the Trees in the Forest”を公開しました。
同報告書では、研究図書館や情報基盤による学術指標の取り扱い方法や、そのことを支えるサービスの開発を始める方法について、“Discovery and Discoverability”“Showcasing Achievements”“Service Development”“Research Assessment”の4つに分類して提言しています。
また、欧州諸国の状況が多様であることに配慮し、提言は、初級・中級・上級の3つのレベルにわけて構成されており、各館では、現在の学術指標への関与度に基づいて提言を選択することが可能となっています。
