図書館から報告された検閲要請（Challenge）の件数は、2024年の172件から2025年には512件へと増加しており、特にアルバータ州で発出された教育省令を受けて、同州の学校図書館関連の案件が顕著に増加した影響が大きいことなどが述べられています。
