2026年6月2日、Wiley社が、Emerald Publishing社の買収を発表しました。
発表によると、Cambridge Information Groupから4億5,200万米ドル（約719億円）で買収したとあります。企業によるAIモデルやアプリケーション開発が加速するなか、信頼性の高い査読済み学術コンテンツへの需要は急速に拡大しているとし、今回の買収は、研究分野におけるWiley社の規模の優位性の強化のみならず、人工知能（AI）やデータ分析向けに活用できる独自コンテンツ基盤の拡充につながるものであると述べられています。
