2025年12月4日、英国の地方政府協会（Local Government Association：LGA）が、地方自治体の再編（Local Government Reorganisation）に備える図書館・文書館職員を支援するためのガイダンスをウェブサイト上で公開しました。
英国の図書館支援を行う慈善団体Libraries Connected、英国国立公文書館（TNA）及びアーツ・カウンシル・イングランド（Arts Council England）と共同で作成されたものです。ガイダンスでは、地方自治体の再編時において、図書館・文書館のサービスを維持するための実践的なツールや助言が提供されているとあります。
