2025年7月11日、アイルランド国立図書館（NLI）が、1985年に開催されたチャリティーコンサート“Live Aid”の写真をデジタル化して公開したと発表しました。
“Live Aid”は、エチオピアの飢饉救済のために1985年7月13日に英・ロンドンと米・フィラデルフィアで開催されたコンサートで、20世紀を代表するチャリティーコンサートの一つとされています。フレディ・マーキュリー、デビット・ボウイ、ポール・マッカートニーらが出演しました。
NLIは、2017年に同チャリティープロジェクトの基金Band Aid Trustから“Live Aid”の全アーカイブの寄贈を受け、資料の公開に向けて2022年からデジタル化等に取り組んできたとあります。コンサート開催から40周年を記念し、写真のデジタル化画像2,000点以上が公開されました。
