縦0.10ミリ×横0.07ミリというサイズの“Teeny Ted from Turnip Town”が世界最小の本としてギネス記録に認定されたそうです。これは、カナダのバンクーバーで出版社を営むチャップリンさんが、サイモンフレーザー大学（SFU）ナノイメージング研究室の協力のもと2007年に制作したものです。集束イオンビーム装置によって単結晶シリコンの面に内容を刻んだもので、読むためには電子顕微鏡が必要ですが、100万年以上の保存が可能と紹介されています。ちなみに、ISBNは978-1-894897-17-4とのことです。
