国際図書館連盟（IFLA）では、IFLAヘルシンキ大会にあわせ、同大会のテーマである “Libraries Now! – Inspiring, Surprising, Empowering”に関する図書館情報学生による論文の募集をしてきましたが、2012年7月19日、その最優秀論文を発表しました。
今回の受賞論文は、フィリピン大学の学生2人による共著論文”Local Studies Centers: Transforming History, Culture, and Heritage in the Philippines”とのことです。受賞者による研究報告が、同大会のアジアオセアニアセッションにおいて8月15日に行われる予定となっており、プログラムに受賞論文が掲載されています。
