このほど公開された、米国の大学・研究図書館協会（ACRL）発行の“C&RL News”2012年6月号に、“2012 top ten trends in academic libraries: A review of the trends and issues affecting academic libraries in higher education”と題する記事が掲載されています。
これは、ACRLの研究計画検討委員会（Research Planning and Review Committee）が作成したレポートで、現在及び近い将来研究図書館に影響を与える10のトレンドを検証したものとのことです。取り上げられているのは、“Communicating value”、“Data curation”、“Digital preservation”、“Higher education”、“Information technology”、“Mobile environments”、“Patron driven e-book acquisition”、“Scholarly communication”、“Staffing”、“User behaviors and expectations”で、各トレンドには短い論点と参考文献がまとめられています。
