2011年8月22日、アイルランド国立図書館とユニバーシティ・カレッジ・ダブリンの図書館、そしてトリニティ・カレッジ（ダブリン大学）の図書館の3館が、資料共同管理に関する協力協定を結んだようです。これは、3館の資料の収蔵能力が限界に達し、資料保存環境の悪化のリスクが高まってきたことが背景にあるようです。今後、3館はコレクションの管理と両立したサービス提供に関する連携のあり方について、コンサルティング会社による調査を受けるようです。
