2011年8月6日、世界初となるウェブページが公開されてから20年が経ったそうです。その20年前の1991年8月6日、スイスの欧州原子核研究機構（CERN）のティム・バーナーズ・リー氏が、NeXT社製のコンピュータ上で世界初となるウェブページを公開したそうです。CERNのサイトによるとそのウェブページのURLは“http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html”で、スクリーンショットは残されていないようですが、W3Cのサイトで1992年に作成されたコピーが公開されています。
