2023年2月1日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）が、“IFLA/Systematic Public Library of the Year Award 2023”への応募の受付を21日に開始すると発表しました。同賞は、公共図書館分科会および図書館建物および設備分科会、大都市図書館分科会で運営されています。
今回は、2022年に新築もしくは図書館として改築された館が対象です。応募期間は2月21日から4月23日です。
8月にオランダのロッテルダムで開催されるIFLAの年次大会で授賞式が行われます。
