米国図書館協会（ALA）の2009年の年次大会が7月15日、閉幕しました。今年の参加者数は28,941人（来場者22,762人、出品者6,179人）となり、2008年のアナハイムでの大会、2007年のワシントンD.C.での大会を上回りました。大会では、経済危機と図書館、知的財産、プライバシーといったテーマを中心に多数のイベント等が開催されました。
