英国保健省（Department of Health）および政府系研究助成機関であるNational Institute for Health Research（NIHR）は、UK PubMed Centralの設立メンバーとして、助成した研究成果のオープンアクセス化を明確にする宣言を出しています。
また、同じくUK PubMed Centralの設立メンバーで心疾患に対する研究助成機関である英国心臓財団（British Heart Foundation）も助成研究成果に対するオープンアクセス・ポリシーを公表しています。
