2020年3月29日、ブルーシールドオーストラリア（BSA）が、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大をうけて休館する、図書館・博物館・公文書館といったGLAM機関における資料保存に関するガイド“Closed by COVID-19？ A Practice Guide for managers of heritage collections that are closed at short notice because of an epidemic or pandemic”を公開しました。
感染拡大防止のための休館により、環境（換気の制限・害虫の侵入）、セキュリティ（侵入者や破壊者）、職員の健康・安全といった状況が変化し、職員による状態確認の頻度も落ちるという資料保存上のリスクが発生することから、緊急状況下においてもコレクションが放置されることなく安定的な環境で保存できるようにするために取り組むべき作業を提案するものです。
