米・コロラド州のデンバー公共図書館は、2019年6月7日付けのブログ記事において、自転車修理キットの利用提供を開始したことを紹介しています。
修理キットは、身体活動を通じた健康維持に取り組むデンバー市郡公衆衛生・環境局のプログラムDenver Community Active Living Coalition (CALC)から提供されたものであり、パンク修理用のパッチ、空気入れ、工具類等からなります。デンバー公共図書館の中央館及び分館全26館の施設内で提供されており、利用者カードの提示により2時間までの利用が可能です。
デンバー市郡公衆衛生・環境局も6月12日に本件に関するプレスリリースを出しており、自転車利用促進の利点として、健康維持以外に大気汚染や渋滞の改善等を挙げています。
