2018年9月25日、マラケシュ条約の実施に関する法案“Marrakesh Treaty Implementation Act”（S. 2559）が米国下院を通過しました。
北米研究図書館協会（ARL）の解説によると、今後、大統領による署名、及び、国務省による世界知的所有権機関（WIPO）への加入書の寄託の手続きが必要とのことです。
