2018年8月12日、オーストラリア・キャンベラにあるオーストラリア国立図書館（NLA）が、1968年の開館から50周年を記念してオープンデ―を開催しました。
子ども向けのイベントとしては、フェイスペインティング・工作・ストーリーテリング等が、大人向けのイベントとしては、館内ツアー・講演・上映会が開催されたほか、同館所蔵の特別コレクション・開館関連資料・アジアコレクションに関する展示、職員によるライトニングトーク、作家Kaz Cooke氏とNLA館長によるケーキカット等も行われ、軽食やソフトドリンクなども終日提供されました。
公式Twitterによると先着2,500人には図書館グッズがプレゼントされています。
