2016年10月11日、米・ライス大学が設立したオープンな教科書出版を手掛ける非営利団体OpenStaxと“Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education ”(ISKME)が運営する、オープン教材のためのツールを提供するデジタル図書館“OER Commons”が連携し、シラバス・宿題・参考書・教科書などを自由に共有・変更することが可能なオンラインのコミュニティハブを公開したと発表しています。
