米国の教育団体ASCD(Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development)とOverDrive社が連携して実施した調査の報告書“Digital Content Goes to School: Trends in K-12 Classroom E-Learning”が公開されています。
同調査は、教師のK-12（幼稚園から高等学校まで）のクラスにおけるデジタルコンテンツ（電子書籍、オーディオブック、デジタル教科書など）の利用状況と今後についての理解を助けるために、米国の2,000を超える学校・地区の管理者を対象に行なわれたものです。
報告書では、デジタルコンテンツ予算が教材予算の1/3を占めること、デジタルコンテンツを利用していると回答したうちの4割がカリキュラムの一部で使用していること、English/Language Arts (ELA)・科学・算数・社会の科目でのデジタルコンテンツの使用を教師が望んでいること、教師が感じる懸念事項（インターネット接続環境／デジタル環境を望まない）などが報告されています。
