2026年4月9日、米国機械学会（American Society of Mechanical Engineers：ASME）が、Wiley社との契約締結を発表しました。出版事業の国際展開と長期的持続性の強化に向けたものとあります。
契約により、Wiley社はASMEの学術誌、会議録及びこれらを収録したデジタルコレクションの販売・マーケティングなどの出版事業を担うとあります。また、ASMEは、引き続き書籍出版事業を行っていくとしています。全てのASME刊行物の著作権はASMEが保有し、ASMEの使命、編集方針、査読権限に変更はないと述べられています。
