2026年1月8日、欧州国立図書館長会議（CENL）が、AIが文化遺産の保存・共有に果たす役割に焦点を当てた刊行物“Artificial Intelligence Meets Cultural Heritage: The Transformative Power of AI for and through National Libraries”をウェブサイト上で公表しました。
2025年にスコットランドのエディンバラで開催されたCENL年次総会における、発表や基調講演の内容をまとめたものです。会議では、欧州各国の国立図書館のリーダーが集まり、国立図書館がコレクションへのアクセス向上、長期的なデジタル保存、持続可能な運営の実現に取り組む上で、いかにAIを活用できるか等が議論されたとあります。
