国連のポスト2015開発アジェンダについて、文化に関するターゲットと指標を確実に盛り込まれるようにすることを求めるキャンペーンが、国際アーツカウンシル・文化機関連盟（IFACCA） 、都市・自治体連合文化委員会（UCLG’s Committee on Culture）の「文化のためのアジェンダ21」（Agenda 21 for culture）、文化多様性国際連盟（IFCCD）、Culture Action Europe、Arterial Network、国際音楽評議会（IMC）、国際記念物遺跡会議（ICOMOS）により開始されています。
2014年5月1日付で、“Declaration on the Inclusion of Culture in the Sustainable Development Goals”が公表されています。
