2014年4月7日、英国図書館（BL）のセント・パンクラス館のNewsroomがオープンしたそうです。2013年11月に閉室されたコリンデールの新聞図書館に代わるもので、これにより、新聞のマイクロフィルムやデジタルデータへのアクセスが再開されたとのことです。
なお、マイクロフィルムやデジタルデータのない紙媒体の新聞は、移送作業により利用休止となっていますが、利用再開は2014年秋の見込みとされています。
