2025年8月27日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）は倫理諮問委員会（Advisory Committee on Ethics）の創設について、運営理事会で承認されたと発表しました。
発表では、委員会の主な役割として、IFLAにおける倫理的問題に関して助言を提供し、リーダーシップを発揮すること、“IFLA Code of Conduct for Volunteers”を始めとする行動規範の普及を促進すること等が挙げられています。
今後は9月26日まで委員会メンバーの候補者募集が行われるとあります。
