2013年5月13日、ジュネーブで行われたWorld Summit on the Information Society Forum(WSIS)において、ユネスコ(UNESCO)がオープンアクセスに関する新しいポリシーを公表しました。新しいポリシーにより、2013年7月から、多言語インターフェースの新しいオープンアクセスリポジトリを介して、電子化された何百ものUNESCOの出版物が利用可能になります。また、新しい出版物は全てオープンライセンスで公開される予定とのことです。
