2024年8月16日、Google社が、検索結果にAIによる概要を表示する“AI Overviews”を日本向けに提供開始したと発表しました。
発表によると、同サービスは2024年5月から米国及びSearch Labsのユーザーを対象に提供されてきました。テストとフィードバックを経て、新たに日本を含む6か国に提供が拡大し、各国の言語への対応も可能となったとあります。
