2024年7月10日付けで、国際STM出版社協会（International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers：STM）が、AIモデルの学習、開発、運用におけるコンテンツの使用に係る許諾に関する声明を発表しました。
声明の中では、同協会のメンバーが提供するコンテンツが、AI開発者によって許諾なしにAI学習に使用されることに強い懸念を示すとともに、許諾や補償、帰属の記載なしに、コンテンツを収集し、AI学習に使用することは権利侵害に当たるとする見解が表明されています。
