図書館予算削減により閉鎖の危機にさらされている、人口6000人の英国の小さな町Stony Stratfordの図書館で、住民が、図書館を支援するための運動の一環として、図書館にある本を全部借りてしまうということがおこったとのことです。2011年1月12日から15日にかけて1人が貸出上限の15冊まで借りて図書館を空にしてしまうようFacebookを使って呼びかけられ、図書館の蔵書（16000冊程度の模様）全てが借り出されたようです。
