英国の大学図書館や情報サービスの将来について、環境の変化に対応する長期的な戦略展望を打ち立てることを目的としたプロジェクト“Academic libraries of the future”が開始されています。プロジェクト参加機関は、英国図書館（BL）、英国情報システム合同委員会（JISC）、研究情報ネットワーク（RIN）、英国研究図書館コンソーシアム（RLUK）、英国国立・大学図書館協会（SCONUL）で、2010年から2011年にかけての18か月の期間中、様々なワークショップを開催するとのことです。
